CM Kajawl :The government on Sunday cancelled the certificates of 26 fake freedom fighters, including some government officials. The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs took the decision considering the recommendation of National Freedom Fighters Council.The ministry also cancelled the previous gazette in this regard. The Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque said a gazette regarding the cancellation of the certificates was circulated on Sunday. Officers of different capacities including bank officials, teachers, accountants, engineers, custom officers and deputy directors of health directorate were among the fake freedom fighters, whose certificates have been cancelled by the ministry. The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs also cancelled certificates of different fake freedom fighters earlier. According to a source, the certificates of Shamima Akhter of Planning Commission, DEO of Bangladesh Water Development Board M Enamul Haque, headmaster of Purbo Dhola Debhata Registered Private Primary School of Netrakona M Siraj Ali, Agrani Bank official of Boalia branch of Naogaon M Khaledur Rahman, assistant teacher of Alamdanga of Chuadanga M Idris Ali, Assistant revenue officer of Customs, Excise and VAT Abdus Samad lost their certificates. Apart from that, the certificates of Sub Assistant Agriculture Officer of Bhairab Jashim Uddin, Accounts officer of Bandarban Social Service Office Mohammad Masud Ahmed, M Majharul Huq of Jessore, Mohammad Kamrul Islam of Kosba, Brahmanbaria, Mohammad Kanchan Mia of Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria, Mohammad Shahjahan Alam Abdur Rahman of Manikganj, Principal Mohammad Rahmat Ali Biswas of Chuadanga Government College, Mohammad Hashmat Ullah of Janats Bank, Mohammad Nurul Islam of Naogaon, Mohammad Saiful Islam of Kurigram, Dilip Kumar Das. Mohammad Enamul Haque Khan, Abdul Hannan Sheikh, Mohammad Abdul Matin, AKM Nurul Islam, Mohammad Ibrahim Mia, Mohammad Abdul Bari Khan, Dr Mohammad Fazlur Rahman, Mohammad Kamaluddin and Iftekharuddin were cancelled.
