Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) K M Nurul Huda’s nephew, former student leader S M Shajada has got
Awami League (AL) nomination to contest in the upcoming 11th parliamentary election.
On Sunday AL distributed party nomination letters among party candidates for 230 constituencies for contesting the 11th parliamentary election to be held on December 30.
Shajada managed party’s nomination from Patuakhali-3 constituency where Bangladesh Chhatra League former General Secretary Jahangir Hossain is the incumbent Member of Parliament.
After hearing the news, followers of Shajada brought out a rally rejoicing the matter on Sunday noon at Galachipa sadar and its adjacent areas.
On this regard Jahangir Hossain said, I cannot find any reason why I am deprived. Shajada is the nephew of CEC, without this I cannot find any reason for his nomination.
Meanwhile, 22 candidates submitted nomination papers for Patuakhali-3 constituency, where Shajada got ticket from AL.
