CDA nods NOC for Bay Terminal at Patenga

Following the final decision of issuing NOC , the tussle between the two public bodies is going to be resolved , conscious circles observed.
 Meanwhile CPA has permitted to a private contractors for earth filling in the evicted areas with the aims of rehabilitating the sufferers so caused following the eviction of residents for constructing outer ring road by CDA.
 Port sources said to discuss the matter of rehabilitating the evicted residents, CDA outer ring road Project Director Kazi Hasan Bin Shams called on Chief Hydrographer of CPA Commander Manzurul Karim Chowdhury on Sunday.
Meanwhile mobile court seized a dredger with bulkhead from the proposed Bay terminal area for lifting earth from the area without the permission of CDA on December f3 last. As such , the earth filling work in ring road project remained stalled.
 On the other hand , CDA Real Estate Officer Zillur Rahman visited the office of CDA city Planner Zahiruddin recently and discussed the matter of permission and finally decided to give NOC as per new plans so submitted to CDA, sources said.
While contacted CDA chairman Abdus Salam told that to ease the traffic congestions , CDA is going to construct ring road but the said congestions will not be resolved if the port’s vehicles runs over the road.
 Following the restrictions of CDA over plying of port’s vehicles on ring road, CPA has submitted another architectural plan to CDA in the meantime agreeing the conditions of CDA, CDA sources said. CDA chairman further told that after reviewing the new plan, we will issue NOC very shortly.
