CCCI team leaves for Kuwait on 4-day tour

An 11-member trade team of Chittagong chamber of commerce & Industry led by its President Mahbubul Alam left for Kuwait on 4-days visit on Sunday .
During the visit , CCCI team will exchange views with the business community of Kuwait on bilateral trade and investment, expansion of Bangladeshi products in Kuwait and mutual benefits.
Besides, CCCI team will present multimedia projections on prospects of business and investment in Bangladesh they will also exchange views with the Bangladeshi expatriates in Kuwait.
The members of the CCCI team include senior vice president Md. Nurun Newaz Selim, Chamber Directors Mahfuzul Hoque Shah, Jahirul Islam chowdury, Md.Ohid Siraj chowdury, Habib Mohiuddin, Anjan Sekhor, Md. Raqibur Rahman, Md. Jahedul Hoque, member Mojibur Rahman and Kazi Md. Mizanur Rahman. They will back homne on October 26, a CCCI sources said.
CCH collects Tk 5,324 cr revenue in two months : Revenue collection by Chittagong Customs House (CCH) witnessed a rise in July-August period of the fiscal year 2016-17 as the CCH collected Tk 5,324 crore, up by Tk 14 crore from its target of Tk 5,310 crore.
The customs house collected Tk 4,314 crore during the same period of the fiscal year 2015-16. It has collected additional Tk 1020 crore and growth rate is 24 percent, according to a press release.
It collected extra Tk 47.56 crore with 910 duty dodging incidents that had taken place in July-August period of fiscal year 2015-16. A total of Tk 21.43 crore revenue was collected in connection with 270 duty dodging incidents in July-August period of fiscal year 2014-15, said the press release.
