CCCI launches fair price sale of essential commodities

Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) on Thursday launched selling of essential commodities at fair prices for the low income group people in the port city.
CCCI president Mahabubul Alam formally inaugurated the fair price sale programme of CCCI in front of the Chamber House Thursday morning.
Mahabubul Alam, in his inaugural speech lauded the initiative taken by CCCI and urged all businessmen to come forward to keep the prices of daily commodities at a tolerable level. As part of the programme, CCCI will sell daily necessary goods in
subsidized prices till 25th of Ramadan.
The CCCI is initially selling fine rice at Taka 20, boiled rice at Taka 25 and sugar at Taka 30 per kilogram (Kg) in the outlet and it will add more products in the outlet. Two more outlets will be opened soon. CCCI vice President Sayed Zamal Ahmed and other CCCI directors were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile Chittagong Metropolitan chamber of commerce and industry will also open fair price shop of essential commodities from today(Saturday) infront of its office premises in Agrabad in the city.
