CCC mobile court evicts 50 shops

Mobile court of Chittagong City Corporation in a drive on Thursday evicted 50 unauthorised shops illegally built up in govt owned lands .
 The mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Sanjida Sharmin conducted drive in Colonel Hat in Akbarshah thana area in city on Thursday .
 Besides, mobile court fined two floating vendors with Tk.2 thousand each for creating obstructions in pedestrian movement in colonel hat bazaar for installing makeshift shops on way.
During drive, Akbar Shah thana police cooperate the mobile court officials, sources said.
Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) A J M Nasir Uddin is rigid on clearing the sides of roads in port city. He decided to evict all illegal establishments from both sides of roads.
CCC Magistrate Sanjida Sharmin conducted the mobile court and evicted 50 illegal establishments from both sides of roads at the area. It may be mentioned that the CCC started the eviction drive again to remove illegal establishments.
Fire guts 12 shops : At least 12 shops were gutted on Thursday in a fire at city’s Colonel hat, CDA residential area under Pahartali thana in the early hours.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit from a shop in the area around 3.15 am and it quickly engulfed the surrounding shops. On information, three units of fire fighters rushed to the spot and
brought the flame under control around 6.10 am.Valuables worth about Tk 15 lakh were gutted in the fire, fire service sources said.None was injured in the fire, the sources added.
