The Chattogram City Corporation has evicted more than two hundred shops along with illegal establishments from the city’s GEC intersection, Golpahar , Asian highway, Shulkbahar, Bahaddarhat kitchen market and new Chandgaon police station on Shah Amanat Bridge road.
At that time, a case was filed against four people for leaving the goods of the business on the road and footpath and causing obstruction to public movement and a fine of 24 thousand taka was collected. Marufa Begum Neli, Executive Magistrate of Chittagong City Corporation, led the operation on Sunday (August 7).
