The well marked low over west central bay and adjoining north west bay moved slightly north-northwestwards and concentrated into a depression over north west bay and adjoining west central bay and was centered at 12 noon on Saturday, a Met office bulletin said.
The Met office advised maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Mongla to hoist local cautionary signal number three, in a scale of 10.
“All fishing boats and trawlers over north west bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice,” the bulletin added.
