Cattle markets in the port city are getting prepared ahead of Eid-ul- Azha in full swing as the cattle traders bringing a huge numbers of sacrificial animals from different parts of the country in the port city. About 10 makeshift cattle markets have been permitted by the Chattogram City Corporation beside the permanent cattle markets of the city. Cattle traders are also bringing large numbers of cattle from northern parts of the country and locating these cattle in the makeshift markets. Besides, small seasonal cattle traders , in the port city are also bringing less numbers of cattles from different parts of the country which are being locating in their own local premises to avoid the govt taxes. After visiting in the ctg cattle markets, Our correspondent witnessed that temporary structures are being prepared to keep the sacrificial animal to save from rain . CCC has permitted temporary cattle markets beside the permanent one located at Fouzderhat, Kattali, Patenga, Halishahar, Yasinmajir hat, Kalpalok, Noor Housing society , Kaptai Rastar matha, Chowdhury hat, Fakirhat bazaar etc. Chattogram City Corporation and the Metropolitan police informed that special team will be deployed in the cattle markets to avoid any nuisances like extortions, checking of fake notes and snatching. Meanwhile the CMP authority declared for monitoring the cattle markets through drone cameras and CCTV . Besides, surveillance team of RAB will watch the market situation and abundant Ansar forces will be deployed in last week of the Eid market. CMP sources said fake note detecting marchines will be available in the markets to detect fake currency note from Wednesday. Dairy farms in the city and adjoining areas are also arranging to sell the sacrificial animal with comparatively cheap price, different local sources said.
