Case filed over school girl Tasfia murder

Prime accused Adnan Mirza, Chattogram Metro-politan Police (CMP) recovered the body of an unidentified girl aged about 20 from Patenga sea beach area of Karnaphuli river on Wednesday . Anwar Hossain, Sub-Inspector of Patenga thana told journalists that on receiving information from locals, police recovered the body from north side of 18 no. bridge of the sea beach at 9 am. The sub-inspector said minor injury marks were spotted on the girl’s mouth and eyes. The body was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed accusing six people including the prime accused Adnan Mirza over the murder of schoolgirl Tasfia Amin in connection.
Victim’s father Mohammad Amin filed the case with Patenga police station on Thursday noon (May 3).
Confirming the matter Chittagong Karnaphuli zone assistant commissioner (AC) Md Zahedul Islam told that a case was filed against 6 people including Adnan Mirza who had been detained. Drives are being conducted to capture the other accused men. Earlier on Wednesday morning (May 2), Patenga police recovered the body of Tasfia Amin, 16, a ninth grade student of Sunshine School and College, from Patenga sea beach.
Later in the day, police detained victim’s friend Adnan Mirza,16, ninth grade student of Bangladesh Elementary School and son of one Iskandar Mirza from Jalalabad housing society area of Chittagong city.
