UNB, Habiganj :A case has been filed in connection with the recovery of a huge cache of firearms and ammunition from a jungle at Satchhari, near the Indian border, in Chunarughat upazila.DAD Azizul Haque of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-9), filed the case with Chunarughat Police Station on Tuesday night.In a drive at the jungle, the elite force found nine SMG, one SNC, one beta gun, one auto rifle, six SLR, two LMG, one slipper stereoscope sight and 2,400 rounds of ammunition. All the arms and ammunition were packed in containers.The RAB-9 team launched the drive on Sunday morning and recovered the arms and ammunition until Tuesday morning.On June 3, the elite force first recovered huge arms and ammunition from the Satchhari reserve forest. The recovered firearms included some 200 rocket launchers, huge anti-tank explosives, mortar shells, and chargers of rocket launchers.
