Case filed over death threats to Joy

A case was filed with Paltan Police Station on Monday night over death threats issued against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s eldest son as well as her ICT adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
Inspector Fazlur Rahman of the Detective Branch (South) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed the case.
Contacted, officer-in-charge of Paltan Police Station Morshed Alam said Sajeeb Wazed Joy received death threats through different ways at different times.
Mohammad Ullah Al Mamun, vice-president of BNP’s cultural wing JASAS
 was named as an accused in the First Information Report (FIR) of the case, added the OC.
Mamun is the father of Rizvy Ahmed Sijar. Rizvy has been languishing in a jail in the USA in connection with bribing an FBI official to obtain secret and internal security-related documents and information.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the plaintiff Inspector Fazlur Rahman added that a few leaders of BNP and its front organizations as well as its allies, including JASAS vice-president Mohammad Ullah Mamun, some in the country and others abroad, have been involved in a conspiracy since before September 2011 to kidnap Sajeeb Wazed Joy and murdering him in USA.
