Case against Al Jazeera, order on Feb 23

A Dhaka court yesterday (Thursday) fixed February 23 to pass order in a sedition case filed against four people, including the Director General (editing council) of the Qatar-based television channel Al Jazeera, Mostafa Suwag on the charge of allegedly spreading “false and fabricated” information under the headline “All the Prime Minister’s men.”
On the scheduled day the court is likely to decide whether the case will be taken into cognizance or not.
The story accuses Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Army Chief General
Aziz Ahmed narrating false and fabricated informations.
Moshiur Malek, founder and President of Bangabandhu Foundation, filed the case in the court of Magistrate Md Ashek Imam of CMM Court of Dhaka on Wednesday morning. Magistrate Md Ashek Imam recorded the depositions of the complainant.
Other accused in the case are- Zulkarnain Saer alias Sami, Independent World Report’s journalist Tasneem Khalil and British journalist David Bergman.
