State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak lauded the visionary role of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in implementing her vision Digital Bangladesh and called upon all to work together to make Vision 2041 a success.
“The increased use of digital technology has made it possible to enjoy religious and social events despite the pandemic situation. Otherwise, the economy, health, education, administration, business activities would come to a standstill,” Palak said that on Monday while speaking as the chief guest at the virtual Eid greetings exchange function of ICT department , said a press release.
The state minister also said, “Under the guidance of the Information and Communication Technology Adviser of the Government Sajeeb Wazed Joy, we coordinated with all ministries to formulate five long-term business continuity plans in education, health, entertainment, internet and logistics, when the Covid-19 pandemic started last year.”
“Through this, we have been able to keep everything from e-filing, e-commerce, education, administrative activities and virtual courts running on digital platforms for the last 13 months,” he added.
“Today, under the strong leadership of State Minister Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has gained the status of a middle-income country. Bangladesh is a role model of development in the world,” He said, said the press release.
He then called upon all to coordinate with the government to fulfill the taken goals including ‘Vision 2041’ within the stipulated time to take the country forward fast.
Senior Secretary of ICT Department NM Ziaul Alam presided over the function.
Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Hosne Ara Begum, Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council Parthapratim Dev, Director General of ICT Department Arshad Hossain and other heads and senior officials of the department also spoke among others in the function.
