Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee, Ministry of Railway Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP said a number of ex-students of Gorchi High School are well established in their respective professions and may extend their cooperation to gear up the infrastructure development of the school.
The lawmaker said Raozan upzila now a role model upazila of the country and land of peace. He said radical changes achieved in education, healthcare, sports and accommodation sectors recently.
Moreover, this upazila is a neat and cleaned one than before. He urges all irrespective of caste and creed to uphold the prevailing clean and nice environment of the upazila . He also warned the vested quarters against the ongoing development activities of the area further . The lawmaker disclosed it while inaugurating the reunion function of the ex-students of the school by cutting cake on Saturday as chief guest. The two-days long reunion function of the ex-students launched on Friday through colourful rally by hoisting national flag Engr. Md. Harun , President of the Ex-students Association presided over it duly conducted by General secretary Alamgir Haider. Vice chancellor of CUET Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Islam graced the occasionas special guest.Headmaster of the school delivered address of welcome on the occasion.Among others, Dr.Narayan Baidya, Banker Md. Shahjahan Miah, FF Mostafa Kamal , Chairman Bhupesh Barua, President of the School Managing committee Anowar Pasha, OC of Raozan thana Md. Kefayetullah, former chairman MA Aziz, Dr. Enamul Hoque,Chairman Rokanuddin, Chairman Abdul Jabbar Soihel spoke on the occasion, a Raozan correspondent sources said.
