City Desk :
Awami League Presidium Member Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak demanded unmasking the both local and international key perpetrators of behind the scene of August 15 carnage when Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family were brutally assassinated 45 years back. “Ziaur Rahman was the mastermind behind the deep-rooted conspiracy of Against 15 carnage. Not only Ziaur Rahman but also some international evil forces were behind the assassinations. It is very much urgent to unmask the both local and international plotters had worked behind the scene,” he said.
The AL leader said this on Thursday while addressing as the chief guest the photo-exhibition titled “Itihas Kotha Koi” arranged by Awami Swechchhasebak League on Bangabandhu Memorial Museum premises in the city’s Dhanmondi area.
Nanak said the evil force had spread propaganda against
Bangabandhu, his family and his nephew Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, who was the founder of Mujib Bahini, one of the major guerrilla forces of Liberation War and also founder of Awami Jubo League, the youth wing of Bangladesh Awami League, before the massacre.
The same forces are still continuing their evil attempts by spreading rumors and propaganda against Awami League in the similar style, he said and urged the party leaders and workers to remain alert against such conspiracies.
He said Ziaur Rahman, founder of BNP, had given different facilities and shelters to killers of Bangabandhu by appointing them in foreign missions. Because of BNP’s such sins, the party’s politics is now at a stake, he added.
Nanak said none will be spared if he or she is found involved in irregularities and corruption as the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken a zero tolerance policy against corruption. Speaking on the occasion, AL Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim said those who were involved with creating the background to launch the August 15 massacre should be unmasked and their evil acts should be disclosed before the nation.
Swechchhasebak League President Nirmal Ranjan Guha chaired the function moderated by its General Secretary Afzalur Rahman Babu. The organization’s leaders Mejbaul Hossain Sachchu, M Abdur Razzak, Khairul Hasan Jewel and AKM Manwarul Islam Bipul were present, among others.
