Development activists at a meeting here on Sunday demanded official recognition of female farmers as they equally contribute to household incomes though farming.
They said as the female farmers are working together with their male counterparts on croplands and playing a proactive role to meet food demand of the country’s people, the State should acknowledge their contributions.
Oxfam, Bangladesh organised the views-exchange meeting at Biam Foundation in the capital as part of its national campaign to protect the rights of female farmers.
