UNB, Dhaka :
Bangladesh will face a tough Chinese Taipei side in their Group-C match of the six-nation AFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2017 Qualifiers at Bangabandhu National Stadium today (Saturday).
The high voltage battle of the all-win sides in the meet is scheduled to start at 6 pm. Bangladesh Television (BTV) will telecast the match live.
Bangladesh’s girls worked hard in their practice sessions under head coach Golam Rabbani Choton for last two days on the artificial-turf at Bangladesh Football Federation.
Choton or his booters do not feel any pressure ahead of the match as his side reduced the goal difference with Chinese Taipei, after a 10-0 win in their 3rd match against Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday.
Moreover, Bangladesh passed through the three matches keeping their goal post intact. The hosts opened their account beating IR Iran by 3-0 in the 1st match while outplayed Singapore by 5-0 goals in the 2nd match.
“Neither I nor my girls are worried to face Chinese Taipei. It is not any pressure for my girls as they played with their equal rhythm in the past three matches. All the players are happy with their three successive wins,” said Choton during the training session.
“I must respect them, Chinese Taipei is a good team too, and I think the match will be very competitive, like a final. I hope my girls will carry on with their regular performances,” Choton added.
Chinese Taipei scored 21 goals in the three matches while conceded one goal against Kyrgyzstan in the tournament opener. They beat Kyrgyzstan, United Arab Emirates and Singapore by 7-1, 5-0 and 9-0 goals respectively.
