The National Public Service Day- 2019 was observed in Kishoreganj on Tuesday in a befitting manner with a call to provide department services to the people through innovation ideas without any hassle.
Kishoreganj District Administration organised a mela and discussion meeting on the theme “the future in now: Accelerating Public Service Innovation for Agenda- 2030 at Local Co-operative Community Center on Tuesday morning with Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury in the chair.
Zila Parished Chief Executive Officer Sharmin Jahan and Deputy Director of Local Government Md. Abdullah attended as special guests.
It was addressed among others by ADC (General) Abdullah Al Mashud, eminent Freedom Fighter Basir Uddin Faruquie, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, its General Secretary Monour Hossain Rony, Women Leader Bilkis Begum and Assistant Professor Samiul Hoque Mollah.
Zila Parished CEO Sharmin Jahan said that the government has taken various measures for building a people oriented civil service. An efficient, effective, economic and time befitting administrative system is the key to sustainable development.
CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito said the government announced vision 2021 and vision 2041 to make Bangladesh a technology-based, modern and development country.
BSS from Gaibandha reports : National Public Service Day-2019 was celebrated in the district today with an objective to encourage and motivate the government officials to extend their services for people’s welfare.
Marking the day, a big colorful rally led by deputy commissioner (DC) Abdul Matin was brought out from the DC office premises on Tuesday morning and ended at the same venue after parading the main roads of the town.
Later, a discussion meeting organized by district administration was held at the conference room of district Collectorate Building here in the morning with additional deputy commissioner Alamgir Kabir Saikat in the chair.
DC Abdul Matin attended the function and addressed it as the chief guest and civil surgeon Dr. ABM Abu Hanif and additional police super Anwar Hossain were present as the special guests.
The speakers in their speeches put emphasis on providing standard and quality services to the doorsteps of the people with transparency and accountability in line with the digitized system following short time, short cost and short visits
They also urged the officials and the employees in their respective field to work with innovative ideas and thoughts and sincerity for the welfare and uplift of the grassroots people.
DC Abdul Latif in his speeches said the country had already achieved millennium development goal and was going to achieve sustainable development goal of the United Nations by 2030 side by side with turning Bangladesh into a middle income country by 2021 and developed one by 2041.
In this context, the acting DC urged the officials and the employees to discharge their duties with sincerity, honesty and dedication and to gear up the departmental activities by ensuring their services to the people rising above all kinds of criticism and irregularities.
Almost all the district level officials of government and autonomous organizations and the officials of the district administration including journalists of print and electronic media took part in the programmes.
BSS from Bhola reports : Hotline 333 has been launched in Bhola district to make all public service available for every one alongside receiving opinions and complains from mass people.
“All public services have been made available through launching hotline 333… People will get all sorts of public services being provided by different district and upazila level government offices,” this was disclosed by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Masud Alam Siddique at a press conference here.
The DC said, “Any people can provide information related to public interest to the hotline service through dialing 333. All organizations concerned will take necessary steps for solving problems.”
