Chairman of Chittagong Development Authority Abdus Salam called upon the new
generations to come forward for another Liberation War against the all ill forces including the anti-liberation forces.
He was addressing the 3-day long Bijoy Utsab arranged at Municipal Model High School ground in the heart of the city on Monday as chief guest. The victory festival was launched with the slogan of ‘Uphold spirit of Liberation and today’s young generations’.
In his brief deliverations, CDA chairman emphasized the need for remembering and reminiscence of the valiant freedom fighters those lost their life in the liberation war of 1971 .
He recalled the sacrifice of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who sacrificed his life for the cause of Bangladesh.
CDA chief also urged the International War Crime Tribunal to intensify the trials of the all rajakars and their executions.
He finally urged the new generations to come forward to fight the anti-liberation forces from the soil of the country.
Among others, Convenor of the Mela Committee LnShafiul Alam, Member Secretary Md. Alamgir, Anwarul Azim, Co-chairman Pankaj Baidya, Monoar Jahan Moni spoke on the occasion.
The utsab formally inaugurated by the chief guest through releasing piegeons and ballons, sources said.
