City Desk :
General Secretary of Workers Party of Bangladesh (WPB) Fazle Hossain Badsha, MP, on Friday alleged that BNP-Jamaat and their foreign friends provoked the militant outfits and secret killings across the country.
“BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia must stop direct and indirect patronization to militancy in the name of democracy,” he said while speaking at a discussion of Jatiya Krishak Samity, peasant front of WPB, in front of National Museum at Shahbagh in the city.
Badsha observed that the deep-rooted plots of the local and foreign conspirators were nothing but to destroy the prevailing communal harmony in Bangladesh and the spirit of 1971 Liberation War.
He called upon all patriotic people to forge a national unity to resist the ill-attempts of the evil forces.
Referring to ongoing crackdown on terrorists, the WPB general secretary urged the members of law-enforcement agencies to continue their drive against the militants and criminals cautiously so that no innocent people are harassed.
President of Jatiya Krishak Samity Nurul Hasan presided over the programme.
Leaders of WPB and its other front organizations and student front, among others, were present.
