Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali called everyone to come forward to extend their support to serve people with disability.
“It is not enough to do only the routine works for them…We have to find them out from our respective areas to ensure their rights.”
He said this on Sunday while speaking at a daylong workshop titled ‘Management of act, guidelines, social and financial freedom for disabled people’ organized by Jatiya Protibandhi Unnayan Foundation at Social Welfare Complex building in city’s Agargaon area.
He said that the country cannot deny the present and future potentials of the disabled persons because they are the part of the society.
He praised the Chairman of the National Advisory Committee on Autism and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s daughter Saima Hossain Putul for her contribution in the field of autism.
State Minister for Social Welfare Promod Mankin, Director General of Department of Social Services Mohammad Saidur Rahman and Managing Director of Jatiya Protibandhi Unnayan Foundation Gazi Mohammad Nurul Kabir spoke with Secretary of Ministry of Social Welfare Nasima Begum in the chair.
Promod Mankin said the government and non-government organisations should work together to help autistic children and their families.
