President of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mahbubul Alam called upon the concerned authorities to declare Halda as a national river of the country considering the significance of only natural fish breeding abode CCCI President demanded immediate declaration in this matter through a DO letter sent to Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister on Tuesday.
The letter was told that the importance of Halda river is unbounded and species of mother carb fishes release spawn in every season early in Bengali new year . The collected spawn instantly distributed to the fish hatcheries across the country through fish farmers.
