Upazila Goverance Project (UZGP), a project of Local Government Ministry which is being supported by UNDP organized an awareness campaign, followed by oath taking ceremony of students and guardians and showing red cards against child marriage and sexual harassment in 13 upazilas of Kishoreganj.
Sadar Upazila Parishad and Asam High School jointly arranged an awareness building workshop on read card against child marriage and sexual harassment at Asam High School premise on Wednesday in Nadala. Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas attended as Chief Guest while former Headmaster Md. Sultan Uddin Bhuiyan in the chair.
Local Government Division Deputy Secretary Zahirul Islam, Sadar UNO Abudllah Al-Mashud and UNDP District Facilator Monir Hossain Mujumder attended as special guests.
It was addressed among others by CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Headmaster Md. Aminul Haque, Upazila Vice-chairman Mamun Al Masud Khan, Kamrun Naher Lona and Union Chairman A.B. Siddique Khoka.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas has stressed the need on creating social resistance against child marriage and sexual harassment to properly flourish talent of every girl child.
