Deputy Commissioner (DC), Narsingdi Abu Hena Morshed Zaman has called to build up social movement against militancy and terrorism engaging people of all walks of life especially Imams and religious leaders.
The Deputy Commissioner gave this call yesterday while addressing a meeting at Shilpakala Academy organized by Islamic Foundation, Narsingdi. He said Islam is the religion of peace and there is no place for terrorism and militancy in Islam. He called upon the Imams and religious leaders to come forward against terrorism and militancy.
Police Super Amena Begum and General Secretary of District Awami League Abdul Motin Bhuiyan spoke on the occasion as special guests. Deputy Director Islamic Foundation Mohammad Abu Taher Siddique presided over the function. Assistant Deputy Director of Islamic foundation Ruhul Amin, Moulana Mofti Atikullah, Moulana Sultanuddin Nori and Moulana Waliur Rahman Khan and others spoke.
