Call to be frugal to face upcoming global financial crisis

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Saturday said we need to be frugal to face the upcoming global financial crisis.
Due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, the price of fuel has gone up all over the world which causing load shedding.
There will be more pressure on the global economy ahead. This step has been taken to deal with the situation. We all need to be frugal.
The minister made these remarks while speaking as chief guest at the prize given ceremony of 8th National Math Olympiad-2022 organized by Jahangirnagar University Science Club (JUSC), reports BSS.
Addressing the program, the minister said, we have been able to continue the education program even during the Corona epidemic because of being Digital Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has done many impossible things for the country.
She has been able to do all these things because of she has courage, wisdom and foresight.
All this has become possible because we got the visionary statesman like Sheikh Hasina.
Thanking the organizers of Math Olympiad, Dipu Mani said that Jahangirnagar University is an example among all universities in Bangladesh. Along with education, culture and science are practiced in this university. Many reputed teachers and world famous scientists are also here.
We want the learning process to be enjoyable. The joy of learning is lost among the students. We want to bring it back. Students will learn by knowing.
The new education curriculum is focused on that, said the minister.
The main responsibility of the teachers is to make students interested for knowledge.
Now the medium of learning is not just books or teachers. There are many mediums of education. Along with learning we also need to acquire skills. We want to take the students to that place, she added.
JU Vice Chancellor Prof Nurul Alam said, Bangladesh has moved on from where the world stopped at the time of the pandemic under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Her dynamic leadership and bravery led to the construction of the Padma Bridge of dreams.
She is making our dreams true. The Prime Minister also approved a project of Tk 1445 crore for the development of Jahangirnagar University which is undergoing.
So I thank the Prime Minister on behalf of the university.
Member of Parliament (MP0 from Dhaka-20, Freedom Fighter Benzir Ahmed, JU Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq, JU Treasurer Prof Dr Rasheda Akhtar, Chief Adviser of JUSC Prof Dr Alamgir Kabir, Dean of the Mathematical and Physical Sciences Faculty Prof Ajit Kumar Majumdar and noted scientist Prof Dr A A Mamun were present at the program as special guests among others.
