Speakers at a discussion stressed for ensuring quality primary education for all children through strengthening the School Management Committees (SMCs) involving the teachers, parents and guardians.
Rangpur unit of non-governmental organisation “Polli Shree” organised the discussion under its ongoing programme of “My Rights Campaign” on Thursday at Manohar Chaorapara Government Primary School premises in the outskirts of the city.
With Monitoring Officer (Education) Swaswato Sarker in the chair, Headmaster of Manohar Chaorapara Government Primary School Babul Chandra Sarker attended the discussion as the chief guest.
Project Coordinator of the non-governmental development organisation “Polli Shree” Shahnaz Parveen and its Filed Trainer Rokonuzzaman Badal addressed the discussion as special guests.
Headmaster of Manohar Government Primary School Abdur Rashid attended the occasions as the main resource person and elaborated role of the SMC members, headmasters, teachers and guardians in improving quality of primary education.
Project Coordinator Shahnaz Parveen delivered her presentation on “Strengthening the Primary School Management Committees” in the programme moderated by Member of District Change Makers’ Jyote Nishat Nahar.
The speakers urged the SMC members, parents, guardians and teachers to work sincerely in a coordinated manner for ensuring quality primary education for all children and bringing the school dropouts to the zero level.
Narrating the importance of giving stronger base to the children at primary schools, they called upon the primary school teachers for working with utmost sincerity to ensure quality education to make the next generations.
The chief guest urged all concerned including the teachers to put their sincere and dedicated efforts in bringing every child to the school and teach them with doctrine of the noble professional in producing worthy citizens for the twenty first century.
