Cabinet urges prayers for Quader’s early recovery

The Cabinet on Monday urged the country’s people to pray for early recovery of ailing minister Obaidul Quader.
While briefing reporters at the Secretariat after the regular weekly meeting of the Cabinet held at the Prime Minister’s Office with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam said the meeting discussed in brief the sickness of the minister and prayed for his early recovery.
Earlier, the Cabinet approved in principle the draft of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) Bill-2019, increasing the number of its board members to 20 from 10.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, who was undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University with three blockages in coronary arteries, was flown to Singapore on Monday for better treatment following the advice of renowned Indian cardiologist Devi Shetty.
