Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) is going to host Virtual Youth Carnival 2020 on December 19 to celebrate the resilience of youth and promote the value of active citizenship.
At a time when the future seems uncertain, the youths around the country have remained resilient in face of adversity, practising leadership in times of crisis.
So, the BYLC carnival will focus on celebrating the spirit of youth while promoting the importance of developing 21st century professional and leadership skills, and advocating stories of active citizenship, justice, and inclusiveness in societies as exercised by young people.
In light of the ongoing pandemic and keeping in mind the safety of participants, the carnival will be held virtually with over 7,000 young people aged 15-30.
The event will have interactive sessions, activities, workshops, and live musical performances by renowned artistes.
Sessions at the carnival will include discussions on the significance of critical thinking, youth as key influencers in today’s society, power of youth in the 21st century, making a mark on the global platform, and practising adaptive leadership during crises.
Also, medalists from the International Math Olympiad, International Robotics Olympiads, and global debating competitions will share their insights on how to succeed in competitions.
There will also be an opportunity-sharing panel which will focus on various scholarship opportunities from scholars who have availed top global scholarships.
Speakers at the carnival include Chamok Hasan, writer and R&D Engineer at Boston Scientific Corporation; Mashrur Rabbi Enan, singer and founder of the viral Keto Bhai, Kazi Jaowad, 2020 Chevening Scholar, and Shams Jaber, founder of The Tech Academy.
This free-registration event will be conducted all-day-long on December 19. And the registration window will close on Saturday, reads a press release.
