Two schoolboys were killed and another was injured as trees fell on them in the Hospital area of Sujanagar municipality on Monday evening.
The deceased were identified as Kishan Halder, 7, son of Bosu Halader, and his cousin Rupam Halder, 8, son of Basu Halder of the area.
Officer-in-charge of Sujanagar Police Station Shariful Alam said workers engaged by a contractor were cutting trees on the back side of Sujanagar Hospital for repairing a road.
Several trees fell on a group of children while they were playing in a nearby field, leaving three of them injured.
