A poultry businessman was stabbed to death at Jessore New Town on Sunday night. He stabbed at around 8:20 pm and died at Jessore Medical College Hospital at around 9:20 pm, said police and other sources.
The victim was identified as Sagor Halder, 25, son of Mohon Halder of Beltala of Ghope area in the town.
Swapan Kumar Das, Sub Inspector, Kotwali police station told that unidentified assailants stabbed Sagor while he was gossiping with his friends at New Town Eidgah at around 8:20pm. He was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where he died at around 9:20pm.
Rubi Khatun, mother of the victim alleged that Sagor had feud with wife of slain organising secretary of Jessore town unit Juba League, Rafiqul Islam Shipon. ‘She killed my child by hired miscreants’, Rubi added.
Enamul Haque, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station told that the police were trying to find out the killers. They will be picked up shortly.
