Apex trade body of the country, FBCCI emphasized on the importance of Local Investment and the problems and prospects of local Industry at a discussion meeting held at Bogura on Saturday. The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) organized the discussion at the auditorium of Bogura Chamber office to engage with the development process of this region and to take action plan, said a press release.
FBCCI President Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) chaired the meeting while its Senior Vice-President Sheikh Fazle Fahim was present. Md. Masudur Rahman Milon, President of Bogura Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the discussion. FBCCI Directors Hasina Newaaz, Prabir Kumar Saha, Md. Rejaul Kariem Rejnu, Khairul Huda Chopol, Mohammad Anwar Sadat Sarker and Dilip Kumar Agarwala were also present. The speakers presented their recommendations at the program for the development of the Bogura region.
Addresing the program, FBCCI President emphasized on necessary investment in the potential sectors of this region utilizing the commercial value. Mohiuddin urged the concerned authority to remove the obstacles for the development of local industry.
A large number of local Industrialists and entrepreneurs attended the program.
It may be mentioned that FBCCI has taken initiative to highlight the problems of local industries arranging discussion meetings gradually in all the districts. This time FBCCI Leaders are visiting total 18 districts of Rajshahi and Rangpur Division. The FBCCI leaders had a meeting with the business leaders of the SirajganjChamber of Commerce and Industry this morning. They will also have meetings with the Gaibandha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rangpur Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and the Rangpur Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
