Taking part in a discussion, entrepreneurs and businessmen viewed ensuring business-friendly atmosphere is very important to encourage local entrepreneurs towards strengthening the country’s industrial sector.
They opined there is a need of adopting necessary measures to revive the region’s industrial sector including the cottage industries as those are playing a vital role in the country’s economic development.
The observations came at a seminar titled “Adoption of Production and Marketing Strategies of small and cottage industries through the best uses of Sustainable Technologies and Domestic Resources” held at the conference hall of Bangladesh Small and Cottage industries Corporation (BSCIC) in the city on Sunday.
BSCIC organized the seminar to mark the closing session of a three-day Buyers-Sellers Conference and Products Exhibition-2016.
President of Bangladesh Silk Industries Owners Association Liakat Ali, former Director of Rajshahi chamber of Commerce and Industries Sekendar Ali, BSCIC Deputy General Manager Ajaharul Islam, Assistant General Manager Mahbubur Rahman and Deputy Managers Abdul Kuddus, Jahangir Razzaque and Monjur Hassan spoke on the occasion.
