Barisal office of Consumers Rights Protection Directorate fined two brick kilns and one water purifying plant total taka eighty thousand on Sunday. Sumi Rani Mitra, assistant director of the CRPD, said with the help of armed police battalion, they operated day-long drives to inspect and supervise different market and production units on Sunday in different area of Barisal city and out skirts on Sunday.
During these drives, Rafikul Islam, owner of Hasan Bricks fined Tk 30 thousand and Milon Hossain, owner of Islam Bricks fined Tk. 35 thousand for preparing bricks under-size and less weight under section 48 of CRP act 2009. Both brick kilns were situated in Babuganj upazila of the city skirt.
