Two people were killed and 18 to 20 people were wounded in an accident that took place near Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (R) Air Port in Rampal at 8.45 am on Sunday.
One is identified as Salim (40), son of Lutfur of Ramnagar area of Rupsha Upazilal. Another deceased are yet to be identified. He is 70- year old. Rampal Thana and local people said, when a Mongla- bound bus tried to overtake another Mongla -bound bus , it failed to identify the presence of a Khulna bound truck and collided it as there was heavy fog on the way.
As a result, two people died on the spot. Listening the news , Highway and Rampal Thana Police rushed to the spot. They with the assistance of local people first sent the wounded people to Rampal Thana Health Complex. Some wounded were sent to KMC for better treatment.
