The hartal pickets of the 20-party alliance torched a city passenger bus in city in broad daylight yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred at Moulvi Pukur Par under Chandgaon thana in city . At the same time, the picketers also vandalized a pickup van in the area. Officer in-charge of chanddgaon thana told that the miscreants torched the bus who is parked beside a petrol pump in Chandgaon .
Acting on information, two mobile unit of the fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after half an hour drive. Meanwhile, some miscreants also ransacked a minibus at Dewan bazaar area under Kotwali thana in the morning hour, sources said.
