A woman and her eight-month-old son were killed as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Agarpur area of Kuliarchar upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Nazira and her son Shamim.
AKM Mizanul Haque, in-charge of Bhairab highway police, said the Kishoreganj-bound ‘Ananya Super’ bus plunged into the roadside ditch in the area around 10.30am as the driver lost control over its wheels, leaving the mother and the child dead on the spot and five other people injured.
On information, police recovered the bodies.
