Leaders of Barisal district bus owners association holding a press conference at their office in Nathullabad central bus terminal of the city on Saturday noon announced ultimatum for repairing Barisal-Dhaka highway immediately.
Aftab Ahmed, district president of the association, reading a written statement and answering questions of the journalists said at least 35 kilometers of the Barisal-Dhaka highway from Wazirpur to Gournadi upazilas under Barisal district remained in dilapidated condition since long days.
Heavy road transports often breaking down on the highway endangering lives of road transport passengers, workers and blocking highway till break-down transports removed by using racker.
