The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday (Monday) rejected the bail pleas of two accused in a case filed over a Titumir College student’s
arm losing in a road accident in the city’s Karwan Bazar area.
Magistrate Nurunnahar Yeasmin of the CMM Court passed the order after hearing on the bail pleas of the accused. The two accused persons are- BRTC bus driver Wahid Ali, 35, and Sajan Paribahan driver Khorshed, 50.
Earlier on April 5, the court granted two days’ remand for the two accused. After the remand, they were sent to jail custody on April 8.
Rajib, a third-year student of Government Titumir College, lost his right hand after it got stuck between two speeding buses trying to overtake each other in the capital on April 3.
