Law enforcers have arrested a bus driver and his helper with a big stash of contraband yaba tablets.
Md Suman, 33, driver of Hanif Paribahan, and helper Md Faruk Alam, 39, were arrested from Manik Mia Avenue on Saturday midnight, said Lt Col Md Anwar Uzzaman, Commanding
Officer (CO) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-2.
A total of 9,130 yaba tablets were seized from them, he said. The bus was en-route to Gabtoli.
Mahbubur Rahman, General Manager of Hanif Paribahan, said that the management sacked both staff. “We want them punished as per law of the land.”
