Seventeen Faculty members of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) have gone to Nyenrode Business University recently to complete MSc level diploma courses, a part of the Netherlands Initiative for Capacity Development in Higher Education (NICHE) project.
Dutch Government sponsored the project to facilitate the development of higher education in RMG sector of Bangladesh.
BUFT was awarded the project titled “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Innovative Leadership in the Ready Made Garment (RMG) sector of Bangladesh”.
Purpose of this four-year length (from 01/04/2014 to 31/03/2018) project is to enhance the knowledge and application of CSR, to promote socioeconomic development, environmental protection, international compliance and equal participation of women in mid and top level positions in our readymade garments, textile and apparel sector.
Faculty members who went for higher studies are Dr Swapan Kumar Saha, Md Idris Ali, S. M.Akterujjaman, Farhana Jannat, Faisal Bin Alam, Mallick Rakibul Hasan, Md. Arafat Hossain, Summiya Sultana, Marjana Jahir, Md Mahbubul Haque, Afroza Akter Rita Sarmily Sarker Mishu, Maruf Sarker, Sumaiya Binta Nasir, Md. Ariful Islam, Anindya Chakraborty and Syeda Helmi Afrah.
