Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Friday said the size of the national budget will be increased by three times during the present tenure compared to that during the last BNP-led alliance government.
Speaking at a discussion after laying the foundation stone of an academic building of Pathantula Govt Primary School, the Finance Minister said the government is now standing on a much firmer ground compared to the past.
Muhith said people’s fundamental rights had been established during the rule of the immediate past government and the trend of promoting peace and welfare of people will continue in the coming days to build a modern and prosperous Bangladesh.
The discussion was chaired by Pathantula Govt Primary School governing body chairman Abdur Razaq Raza Khan.
