Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) is going to convert 11,000 telephone numbers under Mogbazar Exchange to 8-digit number aimed at providing modern and quality services.
All seven-digit numbers of “831” and “832” group will be replaced by the new 8-digit number from April 10 gradually, said a BTCL press release on Thursday.
It said “4” will be added before all previous numbers and the existing remain digit will be same.
List and information of old numbers and replaced new numbers will be available on the BTCL website: www.btcl.gov.bd
Besides, the customers would be informed the new numbers immediately after the change. Moreover, customers are requested to call 8331000 and 9358741 on office hours for any query.
BTCL authority regretted to its valued customers for the unexpected inconvenience, the release added.
