BSTI cancels licences of 13 companies

Staff Reporter:Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on Monday cancelled licences of 13 companies.
In a press release, issued by BSTI Director Engineer Sajjadul Bari, also asked those companies to stop selling, marketing and storing and commercial advertisement of these products until further order.
The institution has decided to test the standard of those products in its laboratory after collecting samples from market.
The BSTI ordered suspension of these products: Farm Fresh ghee of Akij Food and Beverage Ltd, Shakti fortified soybean oil of Shakti Edible Pvt Ltd, Safe fortified soybean oil of Kitchen AK Khan Food and Beverage, Ut iodized salt of Bismillah Salt Factory, Nazrul iodized salt of Janata Salt Mills, Madina lachchha semai of JK Food Products, Modern skin cream of Modern Cosmetics and Herbal Industries Ltd, GM skin cream of GM Chemical Works, Arabian special ghee of New Chattala (Pvt) Ltd, Reven lachchha semai of Reven Food Company Ltd, lachchha semai, ghee and chanachur of Khajana Mithai Ltd. turmeric powder of Promi Agro Food Ltd, Ifad iodised salt of Ifad Salt and Chemical Ltd.
