Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) accorded a reception to the members of Bangladesh National Hockey team of 1985 at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium in Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on Saturday.
President of BSPA Mustafa Mamun presided over the reception ceremony.
The players of Bangladesh National Hockey team of 1985 handed over hockey sticks engraved their autographs to the present members of Bangladesh National Hockey team.
Members of Bangladesh National Hockey team of 1985 Shahabuddin Chakladar, Osman Gani, Alamgir Chunnu, Kamrul Islam Kismot, Khawaja Daniel, Jamil Parvez Lulu, Abdullah Piru were present at the reception programme. Rest of the members of the Team are ill, dead or out of the country. BSPA also accorded reception to the Assistant Technical Director Shamsul Bari, Umpire Sekander Hayat at the same venue on the same day.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) Abdus Sadeque, Vice-President of BHF Khaja Rahmatullah, former player Pratap Shankar Hazra, Ehtesham Sultan, Sajed Adel and Tariquzzaman Nannu were also present, among others.
Captain of Bangladesh National Hockey team Russell Mahmud Jimmy promised to perform in the ensuing Hero Asia Cup Hockey.
