BSMRMU arranges spl session on Maritime Security

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University (BSMRMU) arranged a special session on Maritime Crime and Security at a seminar held at Daffodil International University in Dhaka on Sunday.
The session was arranged on the inauguration day of “The 4th International Conference on Globalization, Entrepreneurship and Emerging Economies (ICGEEE)” jointly organized by Center for Innovative Leadership Navigation (CILN) and BSMRMU.
Vice-Chancellor of the University Rear Admiral M Khaled Iqbal and Professor Chris Bellamy of University of Greenwich, UK, who is Advisor of Global Maritime Security and Defense, presented the keynote paper.
In his presentation, Vice-Chancellor addressed Ocean Governance as fundamental for sustainable maritime development in the Bay of Bengal.
Managing Director, Marine Care Consultant Bangladesh Ltd Zillur Rahman Bhuiyan, Abdul Alim, Professor of Department of Law, Rajshahi University, Professor Dr. Aftab Alam Khan of BSMRMU, Wahid Hasan Kutubuddin, Director of Institute of Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh Studies, BSMRMU and M Anwarul Islam presented their papers as well.
Speakers of the seminar discussed about various maritime crimes and security aspects in Bay of Bengal.
Senior officers of BSMRMU along with teachers and students attended the seminar as well.
