BRTC starts sale of advance tickets

Staff Reporter :Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) started advance bus tickets sale from Sunday to ease the homebound people’s journey ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha and the Durga Puja, two big festivals of the Muslim and the Hindu communities. Now, the advance tickets are available at Kalyanpur, Gabtoli, Motijheel, Mohakhali (Double-decker) Joarsahara (Khilkhet) Fakirerpool and Gazipur depots.BRTC Deputy General Manager (Operation) Rafiqul Islam Talukder told the journalists that the Eid special service would begin from October 2.Some 500 new and old buses will render the service carrying passengers to and from city, he said.The passengers will have to pay Tk 1.45 as fare for per kilometer on non-AC bus and Tk 2.35 for AC buses.
