Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) mobile courts on Tuesday realised Tk 1, 17,200 as fine from defaulters in 56 different motor vehicle law violation cases.
Besides, BRTA mobile courts seized documents of six vehicles in the drive.
Three mobile courts of BRTA in separate drives realised Tk 58,500 in 22 cases in the New Market area, Tk 30,000 in 20 cases and seized documents of
four vehicles in the Gawsia Market area and Tk 28,700 in 14 cases in Baipail area and seized documents of two vehicles in the city.
Three Executive Magistrates of BRTA namely Md Munibur Rahman, Md Mazharul Islam and Md Abdus Salam conducted these mobile courts in those areas respectively.
BRTA will continue such drive to eliminate illegal transports to bring order in the sector.
