Coming from behind, giant killer Brothers Union Club managed a 2-1 goals victory against Chittagong Abahani Ltd in the 2nd leg match of the Nitol Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
After the day’s match, the Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union has secured 19 points from 13 matches while Chittagong Abahani remained at their previous credit of seven points, playing 13 matches.
Ismael Jahed put Chittagong Abahani ahead in the 13th minute by a header, off a cross from Guinean forward Osmane Cherrif (1-0).
However, Brother Union restored the parity in the 15th minute by a suicidal goal by Chittagong Abahani. Nigerian midfielder Simon Ezeodka made a shot towards the Abahani net and the ball kissed the Abahani net deflecting the foot of defender Nazrul Islam (1-1).
