The British Council in Bangladesh has been closed temporarily in order to review their security procedures.
The British Council, Bangladesh announced it on Wednesday.
Barbara Wickham, Director of British Council said in a press release, “We recognise that people in Bangladesh are increasingly concerned about safety and security in public places. The safety and security of our staff and customers is always our top priority.”
 “Therefore we have taken the decision to temporarily close our offices in order to review our security practices,” she added.
The international organisation also hopes to reopen its offices and resume normal services to the public once new security measures are taken.
 “Customer Services will be responding to queries through email, Live Chat and Facebook in the usual office hours. We regret any inconvenience caused,” it said.
